WiseWallet
Terms of Service
Effective date: 30 July 2026 · Last updated: 30 July 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of WiseWallet, a personal and shared budgeting application. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
Claudiu Andriesi, operating the WiseWallet service (“we”, “us”) provides WiseWallet at https://budget.claudiuandriesi.com. WiseWallet helps you track income and expenses, manage shared budgets, savings, goals, debts, loans, recurring items, insights, and optional bank-transaction review via open-banking connectivity.
Features may change, be added, or be limited by environment (for example sandbox versus production banking connectivity).
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal capacity in your country) to use WiseWallet.
You are responsible for the accuracy of registration information, for keeping credentials confidential, and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of unauthorised use at the contact email below.
3. Your security responsibilities
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their passwords, enabling available security features, and securing their own devices and networks used to access WiseWallet.
You should use a strong, unique password and not share account access. We are not responsible for loss arising from compromised credentials or unsecured devices under your control.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service unlawfully, fraudulently, or to harm others.
- Attempt to access other users’ data without authorisation, probe or disrupt the service, or reverse engineer except where mandatory law allows.
- Upload malicious code or abuse invitations, APIs, or rate limits.
- Misrepresent your identity or relationship to a bank or another person when using collaboration or banking features.
5. Your content and shared budgets
You retain ownership of the financial and other content you submit. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display that content solely to operate WiseWallet for you and for members of budgets you share.
Users are solely responsible for the legality and accuracy of any information they upload or enter into WiseWallet.
If you invite others to a budget, they may see budget information according to product permissions. You are responsible for choosing whom you invite and for the lawfulness of data you enter about others.
6. Intellectual property
All trademarks, logos, software, designs, documentation, and other intellectual property relating to WiseWallet remain the property of WiseWallet or its licensors.
These Terms do not grant you any right to copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our software or branding except as needed to use the service as offered.
7. Bank connectivity and open banking
Bank connection is optional. When enabled, we use a technical Account Information Service provider (currently Enable Banking) so you can authenticate with your bank and retrieve account/transaction information for review inside WiseWallet.
WiseWallet does not act as a bank, payment institution, or regulated financial institution. Banking services are provided solely by your bank and the regulated Account Information Service Provider. WiseWallet does not provide payment initiation through this integration, does not store your bank login credentials, and does not guarantee that every bank or sandbox ASPSP will be available.
Imported bank data may be incomplete, delayed, or differ from your bank’s own records. You remain responsible for verifying amounts before creating expenses or other WiseWallet records from bank data.
Your relationship with your bank remains governed by that bank’s terms. Open-banking consent may be time-limited and can be revoked according to your bank and applicable rules.
8. Accuracy of financial information
WiseWallet relies on information entered by users and on third-party providers, including banking providers. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of financial information displayed within the application.
Software may contain bugs or inaccuracies. Users should independently verify important financial information before making financial decisions.
9. Currency and exchange rates
Multi-currency displays may rely on third-party exchange-rate sources. Exchange rates are provided for informational purposes only and may differ from rates applied by financial institutions.
Rates are indicative for budgeting convenience and are not financial advice or a guaranteed execution rate.
10. Third-party services
Certain features depend on third-party services (including open-banking infrastructure, email delivery, hosting, and exchange-rate providers). We are not responsible for downtime, errors, API changes, or service interruptions caused by third-party providers.
11. Beta and experimental features
Certain features may be marked as beta or experimental. Such features may be modified, interrupted, or removed without notice, and may be less reliable than generally available features.
12. Backups and data responsibility
Although we maintain backups and take reasonable measures to protect data, users remain responsible for maintaining copies of any information they consider important. WiseWallet does not guarantee that data can always be restored after deletion, corruption, or force majeure events.
13. Availability and changes
We aim for reliable availability but do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when practicable.
We may perform maintenance, security updates, and migrations that temporarily affect access.
14. Force majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, cyberattacks, internet outages, government actions, or failures of third-party providers.
15. No financial advice; disclaimers
WiseWallet is a budgeting tool, not a bank, investment adviser, accountant, or legal adviser. Insights and totals are informational.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
16. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of WiseWallet.
Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim (if any) and (b) EUR 50, except where liability cannot be limited (including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud).
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under mandatory consumer protection law.
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold WiseWallet harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and legal expenses arising from your misuse of the service or violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
18. Suspension, termination, and inactive accounts
You may stop using WiseWallet and request account deletion subject to our Privacy Policy and technical limitations (including backups).
We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create security risk, or if we must do so for legal or operational reasons.
We may delete inactive accounts after a prolonged period of inactivity, provided reasonable notice is given where practicable.
19. Privacy
Personal data is processed as described in our Privacy Policy. By using WiseWallet you acknowledge that policy.
20. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections that may apply in your country of residence in the EU/EEA.
Courts in Romania shall have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you have to bring proceedings in your place of residence.
